As we continue to work into the winter season, it’s great to look back on the amazing progress that has been completed in just the last three months.
The pool house is starting to take shape as the exterior masonry walls in in-wall rough-ins are underway. Soon the roof structure will be installed and the interior framing and rough-ins will begin. Concrete at the dive vessel is complete and the pool has been fully backfilled while the concrete at the new competition/recreation pool is nearly complete with just one wall pour remaining.
After the concrete for the pool vessel is complete, piping is installed, and the pools are fully backfilled, they will sit dormant waiting for the finishes to begin in Spring. Over the next couple of months, work will continue to move forward at the pool house, and we look forward to seeing those changes take place.
The Past Few Weeks
- Forming/reinforcing walls at the new competition/recreation pool (north end)
- Pouring of the pool walls at the new competition/recreation pool (south end)
- Pool house masonry walls ongoing
- In-wall rough-ins at the pool house
Looking Ahead
- Pouring of the north walls at the new competition/recreation pol
- Excavation for the pool surge tanks
- Concrete slab on grade at the new pool house
- Wood trusses at the new pool house
Did You Know?
Between the dive vessel, competition/recreation, and wading pools, there will be nearly 600 cubic yards of concrete poured in both the base and the walls. On average, a cubic yard of concrete weighs around 4,050 pounds, which means there will have been nearly 2,430,000 pounds of concrete poured at the vessels when all three pools are completed.
