Joan Horinek Memorial

Joan and her husband Ernie have been the longest non-stop Ridgewood members since they and their children first joined the pool in 1968. That’s 58 summers at Ridgewood, making life-long friends and building community. In recent years, Joan was a staple at the Adult Sunday Brunch where she would share stories about her children, grandchildren, giant family gatherings, and the amazing garden she tended every year. We’ll all miss those conversations.

 

Our sincerest condolences go out to her husband, Ernie, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. We were so fortunate to have had her as part of our community.

 

Joan’s family has suggested donations be made to the Ed Nebbins Foundation in honor of Joan and her dedication to the Ridgewood community.  It will be our privilege to work with her family to determine a fitting allocation for funds raised.
